Our Condition Guide
Every piece at My Second Story is pre-loved and one of a kind. We inspect each item by hand, photograph it up close, and grade it with the scale below so you know exactly what you're getting. The grade is shown on every product page, right under the price.
New with tags
Never worn, with the original store tags still attached.
New without tags
Never worn, but the original tags have been removed.
New
Unworn or showing no signs of wear at all.
Like new
Worn once or twice. No visible wear, fading, pilling or flaws.
Excellent
Gently worn with only the faintest signs of use. No stains, holes or damage.
Very good
Lightly worn. You may notice very minor wear such as slight softening of the fabric, but nothing that affects how it looks when worn.
Good
Worn and loved, with normal signs of wear such as light pilling, slight fading or softening. Any notable flaw is shown in the photos and mentioned in the description.
Fair
Visible wear or a small flaw (for example a tiny mark, a loose thread or noticeable pilling), always shown in the photos and described. Priced to reflect it.
Our promise

- If something isn't in the photos or description and the item arrives significantly not as described, email us within 3 days of delivery and we'll make it right. See our return policy.
